For Donna was painted during the COVID-19 pandemic as a gift for my
mom. At a time when quarantine and social distancing kept families
apart, I wanted to create something that brought all five of her
children together in one place. While we couldn’t always be there in
person, this portrait became a reminder that distance didn’t diminish
the bonds we shared.
Rendered in oil on canvas, the painting captures each of us as
individuals while celebrating the connection that defines our family.
It serves as both a snapshot of an extraordinary moment in history and
a lasting reminder that home is found in the people we love.
